Style expert and baby event doyenne Jayneoni Moore’s “She’s Having a Baby Event” at the Beverly Hilton was THE place to be on Sunday for moms and moms-to-be for the ultimate in style, design and luxury items for baby. The event was kicked off by the very talented actress / mom Tisha Campbell discussing what it’s like to bring home a new baby to an older child with autism. I’ve always thought she was one of the funniest females in Hollywood since her days as Martin’s fiancée.
I thought I was seeing triple, but in fact it was the Dahm triplets! Phenomenally, identical triplet sisters Erica, Nicole, and Jaclyn managed to become pregnant and give birth to three girls within a month of one another and have channeled their pre-mom playmate personae and popularity of Erica with fans of her inlaws (that would be Dr. and Mrs Phil) into (among other things) designing fabrics for the swaddle set.
As an interior designer, I am accustomed to roaming the mammoth vendor events of my profession, and am not easily impressed with much that is design related, especially when it comes to nurseries and party planning, but this baby shower did not disappoint. Every product that was displayed was of superlative quality and the expectant mother could have dropped in to the event and found an expert to handle all the finer points of baby style, safe gear and nurturing. I was amazed at the talent and caring that it took to create the products that lined the aisles. Real standouts in style and substance were Little Crown Interiors, Project Nursery, Wendy Anne, and The Cake Mamas. I found these mompreneurs to be seriously sharp and stylish!
